Convexity in Stochastic Cooperative Situations
This paper introduces a new model concerning cooperative situations in which the payoffs are modeled by random variables. First, we study adequate preference relations of the agents. Next, we define corresponding cooperative games and we introduce and study various basic notions like an allocation, the core and marginal vectors. Furthermore, we introduce three types of convexity, namely coaliti...
متن کاملCooperative weakest link games
We introduce Weakest Link Games (WLGs), a cooperative game modeling domains where a team’s value is determined by its weakest member. The game is represented as an edgeweighted graph with designated source and target vertices, where agents are the edges. The quality of a path between the source vertex and target vertex is the minimal edge weight along the path; the value of a coalition of edges...
متن کاملCooperative games in facility location situations with regional fixed costs
A continuous single-facility location problem, where the fixed cost (or installation cost) depends on the region where the new facility is located, is studied by mean of cooperative Game Theory tools. Core solutions are proposed for the total cost allocation problem. Sufficient conditions in order to have a nonempty core are given, then the Weber problem with regional fixed costs is studied.
متن کاملLink-Layer Cooperative Communication in Vehicular Networks
Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are a special kind of communication networks and possess unique characteristics as compared with general mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), where vehicles communicate with each other or with stationary road side units. Hence, directly applying the existing communication protocols designed for MANETs may not be reliable and efficient in VANETs. Thus, this thesis ...
متن کاملExecutive Mechanisms for Thinking about Negative Situations in Both Cooperative and Non-Cooperative Contexts
Mentalizing is a fundamental aspect of social cognition that includes understanding the mental states of others. This process involves the participation of a well-defined set of brain regions. However, it is still unknown how different contextual situations, such as previous cooperative or non-cooperative interactions, can modulate the brain activity related to the inference of others' mental s...
